Kansas ‘Superheroes’ Donate Toys for Sick Children

News

MISSION, Kansas — Shoppers at the Target in Mission, Kansas were treated to some interesting people in the aisles. Superheroes showed up with a very important mission.

Volunteers came up with the ideas a few years ago, get a bunch of toys for the local Children’s Mercy Hospital so parents can “shop” for their kids as they battle an illness. The superheroes’ job was to collect donations and do the shopping.

“They can shop for their kids in the hospital they can shop for their other kids. They don’t have time to go out to Target. We help them in stock up,” said William Binderup, one of the volunteers raising money for the kids.

One woman at Target gave the superheroes $5,000 to shop with.
