BRANSON, Mo. — The City of Branson is cancelling its contract with the firm working on the Highway 76 project.
The city’s director said with the project on pause, the contract with Olsson and Associates was no longer necessary.
The city has stopped the project as it works to bring together more funding.
“Funding that we had planned for the project included some federal dollars that for various reasons didn’t come through,” said Director of Branson Public Works David Miller. “Instead of relying on that, we can’t now. We need to look at financing it ourselves or using the CID that’s in place…”
Miller said once funding is available, the city will re-bid the project.
