Heavy Rain Swamped Several Areas in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The National Weather Service in Kansas City said more than 4 inches of rain fell in a 24 hour period.

Prompting high water rescues and a stoppage of the city’s streetcar service.

The storms caused brush creek, which runs through the city’s Southside to raise 10 feet an hour.
