Heavy Police Presence at Division and National

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – UPDATE 9:40 p.m.: According to Springfield Police, three people have been arrested, one is believed to be the shooter.

UPDATE 8:30 p.m.: Shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday, there was a disturbance between at least four males, two of which were in a vehicle. As the other two entered the store, a male in the vehicle fired two rounds into the store doorway. One round did not make it into the store, the other did and hit a woman, 60, who was standing at the register.

According to the Springfield Police Department, the woman did not have life-threatening injuries but was transported to a local hospital.

No arrests have been made at this time.

UPDATE: Springfield Police are investigating a possible shooting at the Kum and Go on Division and National. Police responded to the gas station around 5 p.m. Tuesday evening after a possible shooting was called in.

Police say the victim has non-life threatening injuries. Officers are still looking for a suspect. Police have released no information on the shooter. Witnesses told police they saw a black SUV drive away from the scene.

There is a heavy police presence at the Kum and Go at National and Division.

Police have not shared any details at this time but the parking lot is taped off with crime scene tape.
