SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A public meeting will be held Friday, March 11 in Springfield on Missouri’s current child support guidelines.
The state is required by federal law to review the guidelines every four years. Those guidelines are used to determine child support amounts in family custody cases.
The review is to look at the information and methodology that is used in the current guidelines.
The Family Court Committee of the Missouri Supreme Court is hosting the Springfield meeting at 10:00 a.m. in the Division 25 Courtroom at the Historic Greene County Courthouse, 940 North Boonville Avenue.
The hearing is not about making revisions to current state laws or issues related to the child support collection process, or enforcement or modification of child support orders.
