Hawley Doesn’t Want Duck Boat Lawsuits Denied

BRANSON, Mo. —  Missouri’s Attorney General is urging a Taney County judge to not drop lawsuits filed against several companies operating Duck Boats in Branson.

This comes after 17 people were killed on a Duck Boat on Table Rock Lake in late July.

Earlier this month — Ripley Entertainment and Branson Duck Vehicles filed motions to drop the case and move it federal court.

Josh Hawley says if that were to happen — it would delay the state’s enforcement action.

Hawley’s office is arguing the companies didn’t properly brief passengers about safety hazards.
