REEDS SPRING, Mo. – School may be out but some lucky kids in Reeds Spring spent the morning in a unique class taught by the Harlem Globetrotters.
The world famous group shared a few of their basketball skills with the Boys and Girls of the Ozarks, while also teaching an important lesson in bullying prevention.
Globetrotter, “Firefly,” says the unique setting allows students to learn an important lesson that they will remember going forward.
“These kids are not going to forget this moment,” he says. “They’re not going to forget the players that they’re with and they’re also not going to forget the ABC’s [action, bravery and compassion] of bullying, and that’s what is most important.”
This year marks the 90th anniversary of the Harlem Globetrotters.
