SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– Governor Mike Parson, in league with Ozarks Technical Community College, announced Tuesday there will be 500 new openings for those in Missouri looking to earn a Certified Production Technician certificate.
At the core of the initiative, according to a statement by the governor’s office, is workforce development.
“We’ll have to have more than a high school diploma to meet the demands of the workforce of the future,” he told reporters Tuesday.
“That’s why these training programs are important, to make sure they have the skills they need and the tools they need to be successful. The demand is out there.”
