BRANSON, Mo. — A big weekend ahead for local lakes as the Memorial Day holiday nears.
Table Rock Marina has been busy preparing for the summer season.
KOLR10 News spoke to staff members there to find out everything you need to know if you plan on going the rental route.
“We have openings still,” said Table Rock Marina Manager Mitch Schupp. “It’s going to be a great weekend for us.”
It’s time to gas up the gondolas and hit the lake.
“We are airing out our tubes, getting paddleboards and wakeboards ready to go– making sure everything is top notch,” said Schupp.
But if you plan on going the rental route, there are some things you need to know.
“We require prior boating experience, a valid driver’s license and a credit card,” Schupp said. “Anyone born after January 1, 1984 is required to have a Missouri boater’s license.”
Which means if you’re a Missouri resident, you can go to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s website. There, you’ll find a link to take an online test.
“It takes eight hours, but you don’t have to do it all at once,” said Schupp. ” You can break it up over certain days– just on your own time. It’s not hard, you’ve just got to go through the effort to do it.”
And for those out of state..
“We have a temporary boating license– just come in our store,” said Schupp. “It takes five minutes and we will get you set up– it’s good for seven days and good for one time.”
From parasailing to pontoon boats to wave runners, these power driven vessels are ready for a busy weekend in the Ozarks.
“It’s gonna be a fun time,” Schupp added.
