SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Community Foundation of the Ozarks Friday released the final tally of donations made to more than 200 non-profit organizations during Give Ozarks Day this week.
Donors contributed a total of $1,183,294.64 to agencies in 70 communities in southwest Missouri.
Community Foundation officials say the total includes online gifts, donations made at events before or on the May 3 Give Ozarks Day, as well as prizes, and endowment matching funds.
In all, there were 11,798 individual online gifts made to the 220 agencies. That’s a 74 percent from the first Give Ozarks Day in 2015.
About 30 percent of donors indicated they were first-time donors to the organization they were supporting.
