Gingerbread House Competition Raises Money for People’s Health

News

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Some of the best in baking took their talents to CoxHealth Thursday night for a gingerbread house competition.

Take a look at the finished products.

The gingerbread tower competition is part of the annual fundraiser “Wrap It Up”.

The event celebrates non-profits in the community and encourages people to give back.

President of the CoxHealth Foundation Lisa Alexander says money raised tonight will empower people to get back to good health.

“We’re making a difference every day for children with medical needs and patients in our community who need things that their insurance or other providers don’t provide for them,” Alexander said. “We’re doing that for them because of events like this one tonight.”

A silent auction, food and music were also part of Thursday night’s festivities.
