GALENA, Ks. — Galena Police Officers responded to a complaint of insect infestation at the Galena Motel yesterday, April 19. But they didn’t find bugs.

According to a Galena Police Department’s Facebook post, Galena Codes Enforcement received an email complaint about bugs from a resident at the motel.

Officers responded to inspect the room and the resident invited them in.

“NO BUGS WERE LOCATED! However, the officer did locate methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia!” the post said.

The resident was then arrested and Codes Enforcement obtained a search warrant for the room.

Officers found “several” more items of drug paraphernalia.

“The individual arrested is currently in custody at the insect free Cherokee County Jail,” the post said.

Galena PD even offered a few tips for the public at the bottom of their post.
