Funeral Held in Indiana for the Rest of the Coleman Family

INDIANAPOLIS — Today in Indiana, services honoring the lives of five of the 17 people killed when a Ride the Ducks boat sank in Branson nine days ago.

Ervin, Horace, Belinda, Angela and Maxwell Coleman were laid to rest.

Church leaders reminded mourners this is a time to celebrate life. Bishop William Harris spoke about the importance of faith.

“It wasn’t their fault,” Harris said. “But God allowed it to happen for a reason. So that all of us understand we all must go sooner or later. May I say to you all, it hurts my heart like it hurts your heart. But, because God is so good and because God is so merciful, I can accept this and go on.”

Services for four members of the same family were held yesterday in Indianapolis.
