Perfect weather will continue across the Ozarks today as high pressure moves directly overhead! Highs will reach the upper 70’s and low 80’s with very light SW winds expected today only around 5-10 mph.
Ridging and high pressure start to move southeast Saturday which will give us one last sunny day with temperatures into the middle 80’s. A few more clouds move in Sunday out around of an approaching trough, but highs will still make the upper 70’s. A few isolated showers will be possible mother’s day especially west and northwest of Springfield, but widespread rain is not expected.
A negatively tilted trough starts to move into the Ozarks Monday which is usually favorable for severe weather. At this point there is still a lot up in the air Monday afternoon and evening given the time of convection, but it does look like a few super cells will be possible.
Stormy weather will continue through Wednesday before quieting down Thursday afternoon.
We can sure use the rain with Springfield over 6 inches down for the year!
