Cloudy Friday, Showers/Storms Return Saturday —
Clouds will move into the Ozarks through Friday morning with a few peaks of sunshine during the afternoon hours. There is a chance for a few showers, mainly north of I-44, but most of us will stay dry today. We’ll stay comfortable during the day with increasing humidity and moisture during the evening and overnight hours. Temperatures will top off in the upper 70’s with lower 80’s and overnight lows in the middle 60’s. Showers and storms develop and start push through during the overnight hours. This round could bring strong to severe storms with the main threat being large hail.
Saturday, we’ll start off the day with muggy conditions and a round of thunderstorms, especially during the morning hours. A few of these storms could be strong to severe with the main threat being hail. Severe weather chances are not widespread, but something to keep an eye on. This round will move through and we will have a hot and humid afternoon. Temperatures will top off in the upper 80’s. The next round of storms will move in late in the day on Saturday into early Sunday morning. The Storm Prediction Center has areas along and north of I-44 in a slight risk for severe weather with the main threats being hail and wind. Overnight temperatures will drop into the middle 60’s.
Sunday, the morning round of showers and storms will affect if/when storms will redevelop during the afternoon hours. If storms redevelop, a few could have hail and wind threats in the stronger storms. Temperatures will top off in the lower 80’s with overnight lows in the middle 60’s.
Monday to start off your work week, we’ll keep the wet unsettled pattern with temperatures remaining in the 80’s and overnight lows in the middle 60’s.
We’ll keep the unsettled and wet pattern into much of the week. With several rounds of heavy rain, flooding will be a concern through the week. With each round of showers and storms, severe weather cannot be ruled out with hail and wind being the main threats. It will also remain warm and muggy through the week as well with temperatures in the 80’s.
