Freezing Weather Could Lower White River Lake Levels

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Bitterly cold weather may be taking a toll on White River lakes.

The Army Corps of Engineers reveals both the demand for power and lack of rain could lower lake levels within just days.

Hydroelectricity is considered clean energy and is a main power source for the area.

The Corps is advising boat dock owners to keep an eye on their docks and move them if needed to prevent grounding.
