SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– Kids from across the Ozarks had the chance to explore fire trucks and police cars in the Battlefield Mall parking lot Tuesday night.
Springfield Public Schools teamed up with the Community Partnership of the Ozarks for “Big Rig Night.”
“Last year we had over 3700 people here and right now I just checked and we are already over 1500 people so not even halfway through and sending a pretty good pace,” said Amanda Estes, Director of Marketing for the Battlefield Mall.
From race cars, to construction trucks, and ambulances, kids were able to sit in the drivers seat to explore and ask questions about the jobs associated with the big rigs.
The event was free and open to the public.
