Founder of Amberg Events Charged with Child Molestation

SPRINGFIELD, Mo- The CEO and Founder of a family-friendly event-planning company has been arrested and charged for child molestation in 2008.

According to the Greene County Jail inmate summary, Edward Amberg was booked Tuesday morning and is being held in the Greene County Jail on a $10,000 bond. Terms of his bond include no contact with children under 17 and not to be on the premise of parks, playgrounds, schools, or any place where children congregate. 

Amberg was indicted by a grand jury Thursday, August 23, 2018, on two charges of first-degree child molestation. 

According to the indictment document, the incidents happened between December 1st and December 31st of 2008. The document says Amberg had sexual contact with a female who under the age of fourteen. 

On Amberg Events’ website, he goes by Ted Amberg and is identified as the CEO and Founder.
