Former President Jimmy Carter hospitalized and is scheduled for a brain procedure

ATLANTA — Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter has been hospitalized and scheduled for surgery.

Former President Carter was admitted to Emory University Hospital tonight, November 11, and will have a procedure that will relieve the pressure that is on his brain.

The procedure will begin tomorrow morning.

According to the Carter Center, He is resting comfortably and his wife, Rosalynn, is with him.
