IBERIA, Mo. – An early morning fire in Iberia has destroyed a restaurant.

The Iberia Rural Fire Protection District responded to the first alarm commercial structure fire in the 800 block of Highway 42 shortly after three this morning. When they arrived the restaurant was fully involved and the roof had already collapsed.

Firefighters requested mutual aid from Brumley, Crocker, Tuscumbia and a Ladder Truck from the St Robert Fire Department.

The fire was brought under control, but the restaurant was determined to be a total loss.

No one was inside the building when the fire broke out and officials report that there were no injuries from the fire.

The fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
