Evidence Lost in Case Against Arkansas Judge

News

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — The Garland County, Arkansas Circuit Judge charged with negligent homicide in the hot car death of his son,  is set to appear in court today for what could be a pivotal pre-trial hearing.

Wade Naramore is scheduled to stand trial August 15.

Police say 18-month old Thomas Naramore died after being left in a hot car for several hours in July 2015.

Naramore’s attorneys say Hot Springs police lost courthouse surveillance video from the day of the boy’s death.
And the video cannot be retrieved by the state crime lab.

According to court filings, the lost evidence could give the judge reason to dismiss charges or bar prosecutors from referring to what was seen in the video.
