ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The St. Louis County elections director has been suspended following major ballot problems in local elections that happened April 5th.
The county confirmed the suspension of Eric Fey Tuesday.
Many voters were turned away from the polls after issues at 63 polling places.
Some had ballots meant for another precint, others ran out of ballots completely.
Fey recently testified in front of a panel of Missouri lawmakers who were tasked with investigating what went wrong on election day.
The decision to suspend him was made by the St. Louis County Election Board.
