SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Humane Society of Southwest Missouri partnered with Dixie Stampede for some puppies and prizes Saturday.

You could go home with both a puppy and a pair of tickets to the Branson show.

Every puppy adopted at The Dixie Stampede Dog Days went home with a Canine Capers care package.

The Canine Capers is a new event added to the stampede that features rescue dogs performing agility tricks and a relay race.

“It’s quickly become one fo the favorite scenes of the show and it was a natural fit because we use rescue dogs in our show that we partner with Humane Society of Southwest Missouri,”John Richardson, director of sales and marketing with Dixie Stampede, said.

For every ticket sold, the Dixie Stampede will donate a pound of food to the humane society.

There is also a $10 discount going on for every adult ticket sold throughout the rest of the holiday weekend.
