SAN BERNADINO, Ca. — (CBS) It’s Cyber Monday – the biggest online shopping day of the year.
Retail experts are predicting it will be the largest online shopping day in history.
And the orders are pouring in at the Amazon Distribution Center in San Bernardino.
Inside the Amazon Distribution Center in San Bernardino, the miles and miles of speeding conveyor belts carry the endless line of brown packages to the millions of shoppers on Cyber Monday.
It’s one of dozens of warehouses across the country wrapping and packing the steeply discounted hot ticket items.
And shoppers are expecting to go all out spending more than $3 billion dollars online today.
Shoppers also spent more than $3 billion online in a record-breaking Black Friday, and showed up less at the actual store.
Experts say technology is helping drive the increase in online sales as smartphones are becoming faster.
Even the packages seem to be smiling at this trend that doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.
