SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Crosslines is kicking off the holidays with a car cruise!
The food pantry hosted the event, that took a line of cars through Springfield, down old Route 66 to Strafford, and ended with barbecue in Fair Grove.
People were asked to donate $15 or bring a new toy.
Money raised benefit’s Crosslines holiday programs.
“Every year we’ve got a significant number of families here in the Ozarks who are struggling and that need holiday assistance,” said Wes Buccholz, a program coordinator at Crosslines. “We expect to serve somewhere around 8,500 people between our holiday distributions.”
Buchholz says the organization is also looking for volunteers to donate their time to help.
