Crews Working on Boat Emergency Near Branson

BRANSON, Mo. – UPDATE: There have been 8 confirmed fatalities.

UPDATE: The Southern Stone County Fire Protection District is calling the incident a “Mass Casualty Incident”.  Officials are still working on scene.

Sheriff Doug Rader has confirmed to KOLR10 that there are multiple fatalities.

Radar also says he has not confirmed if this incident is the result of the storms that passed through, but he does believe that is the reason.

31 people were on the “Rides with Ducks” boat at the time it capsized, some of which were children.

Our reporters on scene say that the boat has sunk.

Cox Health in Branson is treating six patients, three of which are under the age of 18.

UPDATE: Crews from multiple agencies are on scene on Table Rock Lake, Stone County, Branson, Missouri.

Several patients have been transported to an area hospital.  Divers are on scene.

Multiple agencies are responding.  More than 20 people are involved in the incident.
