CoxHealth is offering one day free mammogram screenings

BRANSON Mo.-  A local hospitial is offering help to women who can’t afford mammogram screenings. 

CoxHealth in Branson is pairing up with the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks to offer free mammograms on May 21, to women who can not afford them. 

Any woman who does not have insurance or not enough insurance to cover the cost is invited to come out  to the Outpatient Center at Cox Medicial Center in Branson from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. 

Women must be at least 40 years old, have no current problems, and it must have been a year since their last exam. 

Kami Burtless, coordinator of Women’s Health at Cox Branson said, “This opportunity could potentially save the life of a woman in our community. Someone who might not have the means for this care will now have access and peace of mind through this event.”
