SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Springfield City Council voted unanimously to move forward with plans to rehab the Jefferson Avenue Footbridge.
Council also read for the first time a bill on distracted driving.
If approved new language would be added to an ordinance and would allow police officers to issue traffic tickets for things like looking into a mirror for personal grooming or handling a GPS device.
KOLR10 did a full preview of this bill on the news at 5 and 6 p.m.
