Branson Recycling Collects Over 4 Million Bottles

News

BRANSON, Mo. — The Branson Recycling Center celebrated a milestone on Monday.

Four years ago, the center started accepting glass bottles.

After those four years, the center has collected more than four million bottles from Branson residents and visitors.

That is a lot of bottles, just ask Branson Mayor Karen Best.

“If you lay them down end to end that’s enough to get from Branson to Chicago…that’s a lot of bottles of water,” Best said.

The center is including a bit of an incentive to recycling this week.

When folks come by for a drop-off they will have a chance to win one of 100 prizes.
