Branson Christmas Show Honors Foster Children and Their Families

News

BRANSON, Mo. — The Baldknobbers Theater in Branson hosted a special Christmas show to help Taney and Stone County area foster families.

It was the fourth annual event, which sets out to appreciate those who take foster kids in as well as the foster kids themselves.

A few local Branson singers attended the show and the event’s owner, who also is a foster parent, says it’s a way to bring those families together.

“This is kind of what I call a vitamin B12 shot,” said Melonie Brown, owner of the Brown’s Family Christmas Gifting Show. “We’re going to give that family a shot in the arm to go and help with another child, to help with another family, or maybe just to go for another year.”

Over 50 families attended tonight, but Brown says there is a shortage of foster families in the community.

She says if you would like to know more about the program to contact her.
