Boy Scout Troop to host their 43rd annual fundraiser garage sale

SPRINGFIELD – It draws hundreds of people every year and raises money for field trips.

The Boys Scouts of Immaculate Conception troop 210 are holding their 43rd annual garage sale at the Church at Primrose And Fremont.

The money from this sale funds all the boys and girls scouts activities for the year. Thousands of items have been donated and you never know what you may find.

“I’m amazed every year at the stuff that is donated and you just never know what’s going to walk through those doors,” Steve Gassel, Troop 210 Committee Member said. “We get really high valued items and then you get things that may not have a lot of high value but a lot of things people may want and will use. There’s a repurpose approach to this event. So instead of some of this stuff going into a landfill. People can use and reuse it and reuse it.”

The sale runs until 8 p.m. tonight, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m Saturday, and from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday.

Just so you know, people wait in long lines before the sale starts.
