BARTON COUNTY, Mo. (KODE) — A southwest Missouri man pleads guilty to the 2013 abduction and murder of a Golden City girl.

Bobby Bourne, Jr. pled guilty today to First Degree Murder and Child Kidnapping.

Bourne was arrested in August of 2013 for the death of 12-year-old Adriaunna Horton of Golden City.

Barton County Prosecuting Attorney Steven Kaderly says Bourne admitted to picking Adriaunna up at a local park during his post-Miranda interviews.

Bourne then later led investigators to the area where the body was located, and in a recorded telephone call with his wife, Bourne admitted he was responsible for Adriaunna’s death.

As part of the plea deal, Bourne has been sentenced to consecutive life sentences, one for each charge, and will not be eligible for parole.
