Boat Catches Fire in Main Channel of Table Rock

KIMBERLING CITY, Mo. – The Missouri State Highway Patrol Water Division releases information on a fire/explosion incident on Table Rock Lake near Kimberling City.

According to a report issued Thursday, David Trottier, 74, of Rogersville was operating a pontoon boat in the main channel of the lake, near Point 8 in Stone County, at approximately 2:20 p.m. on Sunday, September 3rd, when the vessel caught fire in its engine compartment.

The report indicates Trottier utilized fire extinguishers to contain the blaze. The vessel was later towed to the owner’s dock.

No injuries are reported.
