SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Congress has released its final language for a tax reform bill that has been decades in the making.
And, it appears to have the Republican votes to pass.
After some last minute changes Friday, three senators — Marco Rubio, Mike Lee and Bob Corker — have announced they will support the bill, giving it enough votes needed to pass through the Senate next week.
Q: Will it pass even without the votes of John McCain and Thad Cochran who missed this week due to illness?
Q: Critics say this plan will benefit corporations over people. Who’s receiving the biggest tax cuts? Will all Americans benefit?
Q: Fed chair Janet Yellen expressed some concern on the deficit with the tax overhaul. Will it explode? Does it leave Congress little room to respond to a future recession?
The House and Senate are scheduled to vote on the final plan next week.
