SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — One local charity is dealing with hundreds of dollars worth of damage today.
One of the used clothing bins operated by Big Brothers, Big Sisters of the Ozarks was broken into last night .
Big Brothers Big Sisters Vice President of Financial Development, Tyler Moles, said the bin was likely pulled open with a crowbar.
The bin is one of sixteen meant to collect used clothing and shoes throughout the year.
Those clothes are then sold by the pound to thrift stores across the world.
Moles said any possible items taken from the bin would likely sell for very little anywhere else than through their network.
He continued to say this act could only do damage to the non-profit.
The organization is still unclear of the thief’s motive.
