SPRINGFIELD, Mo — New year, new you. Right? With just 3 days into 2018, New Years Resolutions are going strong for millions of Americans.
Eating healthy and saving money are always near the top of the list for some of the most popular goals, but becoming more organized is quickly gaining popularity.
“Maybe you are wanting to organize your garage, or have less on your work schedule,” explained Laurie Malloy with Simple Spaces in northwest Arkansas.
“The real challenge lies in how to get that down into manageable chunks.”
Research suggests that staying organized can actually boost energy, help reduce scress, and to sleep better at night.
Regardless of your 2018 goal, experts say that accountability is huge in persevering. You can always reach out to a friend, or post your changes on social media.
It also is a good idea to keep your goal specific. Instead of just ‘eating better’ or ‘becoming more organized’, a better goal would be to ‘only eat ice cream once a week’ or ‘clean out the garage’.
