Woman deceased after failing to yield at railroad crossing

PURDY, Mo- According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, one woman is deceased after not stopping at a railroad crossing and was hit by an oncoming train.

Fransisca Perez Salas, 59, was driving the car with two children riding along. The ages are 3 years old and 8 years old.

Salas died from the crash and the two children are in serious condition.

The office posted on Facebook about the incident Wednesday evening.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is assisting the investigation.
