BARRY COUNTY, Mo.– Police and Sheriff’s deputies are looking for help identifying a man they say broke into a gas station just outside of Purdy, Missouri last month.

Jackie Lowe, Purdy Police Chief, says the man allegedly broke into Purdy MFA, where he stole money from the station’s office building, on June 3, 2018.

Along with stealing an unknown amount of money from the gas station, Lowe says the man also managed to make himself a membership card to MFA.

“He knew what he was doing,” Lowe told KOLR10.

It would be later when the man used that illegally-created membership, that the MFA gas pump camera would capture the images police are now using to identify him.

“He looks familiar but we don’t know if he’s local or from elsewhere,” Lowe said.

Chief Lowe says since the burglary, the man has used the phony membership in multiple locations, including once in Arkansas.

Now, since the crime happened only a mile outside of town, both county and city authorities are looking for the man.

If you have any information, call Barry-Lawrence County Crime Stoppers at 1-888-635-8477 or (417) 354-8477.
