Bank Robber Sentenced to 18 Years in Prison


SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A man who told Springfield Police he robbed a bank to get money to buy heroin has been sentenced to 18 years in prison.

Anthony Dunlap pleaded guilty in federal court to his sixth bank robbery, and for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Dunlap robbed the Bank of America on Kearney Street in Jan. of 2017.

Police found him hiding in his girlfriend’s car later that day with loose cash and a loaded gun.

Dunlap was sentenced today.
