Authorities Hope Technology will Help Find Missing Iowa Woman

BROOKLYN, Iowa — Authorities in Iowa continue to search for a missing University of Iowa woman.

20-year-old Mollie Tibbetts went for a run in Brooklyn, Iowa on July 18th but hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

Investigators are hoping technology will help lead them to some answers.

Authorities say they have submitted search warrants for several of her social media accounts, including her Fitbit data.

That won’t tell them where she is currently, but it might give info of where she has run in the past.
