Arkansas Cafeteria Worker Accused of Stealing More Than $25K in Lunch Money

CAMDEN, Ark. – A cafeteria worker is in custody after being accused of stealing over $25,000 from the Camden Fairview School District (CFSD) Intermediate School.  

On May 10, Rebecca Naomi Dorris, of Camden, turned herself over to the Camden Police Department for an active warrant for her arrest. She was wanted for Theft of Property (a class B Felony). 

Police say Dorris worked the register in the school’s cafeteria and has not been turning in the cash that was collected from students for breakfast and lunch.

Documents from the CFSD show that the theft was ongoing on a daily bases for five years, resulting in the loss of $25,541.70.

The theft was reported on May 5 to the Camden Police Department.

Dorris is being held at the Ouachita County Jail pending her first judicial hearing.
