Arizona Trooper Fatally Shot Identified


AVONDALE, Az. – The identity of the Arizona State Trooper who was shot and killed when a suspect allegedly took an officer’s gun, has bee released. 

Another officer was wounded in Wednesday night’s attack in Avondale, just west of Phoenix.
Police say officers responded to a call about someone throwing things at cars near interstate 10.
The suspect struggled and fought officers trying to arrest him, and was able to get one of the trooper’s guns and fire several shots.
Trooper Tyler Edenhofer, an officer in training, was killed.

Police reported that the suspect was taken into custody.
