SPRINGFIELD, Mo.- The AIDS Project of the Ozarks opened the doors to a new clinic in Springfield Thursday.
APO has teamed up with Grove Pharmacy to provide necessary medication and care all under one roof.
The new location is on South Glenstone and is 14,000 sq. feet, which includes a full service clinic with exam rooms, plus lab services to test for HIV, STDs and Hepatitis C.
“I think this is going to be a real positive piece to let people know that we’re not ashamed of the services we offer,” said Lynne Meyercord, Executive Director at APO. “People don’t need to be ashamed of their health issues and we’re very pleased to be in this spot,” she said.
APO was founded in 1987. Today it looks over 750 patients in the Ozarks, including specialty care.
