SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Three protests are planned in southwest Missouri Tuesday, by people opposed to the repeal of the Affordable Care Act.
Health care advocates will march in Springfield, Joplin and West Plains, as part of a statewide protest against action by the House and Senate this week.
The group “Missouri Health Care for All” will gather at National and Sunshine in Springfield at 8:00 a.m. and at 32nd and Rangeline in Joplin at the same time.
At 11 a.m., group members will march in West Plains, at the Ozarks Medical Center on Kentucky Avenue.
The group calls the House vote “reckless” and is calling on Congress to prevent the loss of health coverage to Americans with no other option.
Protests are also planned in Arnold, Clayton, Dexter and St. Louis.
