28 Additional Chronic Wasting Disease Cases Reported

MISSOURI – The Missouri Department of Conservation is reporting that 28 more cases of chronic wasting disease has been found in deer across 11 counties.

The deadly disease was found in the following counties: Adair (2), Crawford (1), Franklin (5), Jefferson (1), Linn (2), Macon (4), Mercer (1), Oregon (3), Ste Genevieve (7), Stone (1), and Taney (1).

This brings the number of cases in Missouri to 103 since 2012.

The MDC collected and tested tissue samples from more than 28,000 deer throught this past deer-hunting season.
