SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A Springfield 12-year-old has reached the highest level of scouting: Eagle Scout.
Jackson Baskins started as a Cub Scout when he was 5 years old.
He’s a part of the Nixa Troop 200.
A ceremony was held Saturday at Bass Pro celebrating his achievement.
Baskins says it took him years of hard work during his summers to become an Eagle.
He shared with us some of the most difficult badges to earn.
“All the way down here, would probably be personal fitness, you have to do a three-month plan and all that, the other hard one would be community, you had to do 10 hours at a nonprofit organization, I did Ozark Food Harvest,” Baskins said.
Only 3 percent of Boy Scouts earn the top rank of Eagle Scout.
