UPDATE 7:15 p.m.: Police said the occupant who had barricaded inside a residence was found deceased inside the home. Further details on the deceased are not yet available.

UPDATE 5:40 p.m.: OzarksFirst’s crew on the scene has reported a police armored car has said over a loudspeaker towards the residence that an occupant is under arrest and they have attained a search warrant.

Further details on the occupant and what they’re under arrest for have not yet been provided.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– Springfield Police Department is responding to a situation east of North Glenstone Ave. in the 1600 block of Caravan Street, north of Interstate 44.

Authorities said the response is due to a barricaded person inside a residence. Multiple police cars and vans as well as a SWAT team have responded to the area.
