Hey guys! I’m Collin Lingo, and I am very excited to be a part of the KOLR10 news team and the Springfield community.
Building a relationship with Springfield is something I look forward to. I have a feeling that most of my encounters with this community might happen at either a movie theater or a sporting event since those are two of my favorite places to be. If I’m not there, you might find me in the grocery store, gathering ingredients to some recipe I’m trying to master.
As an Arkansas native, I love the Ozarks and it does my heart good to serve it through delivering the news. It means a lot to me that you would continuously invite me into your homes to do what I love doing.
Back home, I attended the University of Central Arkansas, where I graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and Religious Studies. While at UCA, I spent most of my time at News 6, our campus news station. It was at that campus news station that I first understood the bond that a reporter forms with the community in which he or she is reporting. I am quite eager to form a similar bond with Springfield.
During the end of my college career I was lucky enough to land an internship position with KARK in Little Rock. I learned a lot at that station and I owe many members of that news team a massive thank you for helping me get where I am today.
I LOVE hearing from you guys out there! If you have any story ideas or information on something happening in our area, please feel free to e-mail me at email@example.com, tweet me @CollingoTV or message me on Facebook.
