Lauren Barnas is FOX 49’s award-winning investigative reporter and news anchor who re-joined KOLR 10/ FOX 49 in July of 2022.
Lauren came back to KOLR 10/ FOX 49 after spending two years in Colorado, where she earned awards from the Colorado Broadcasters Association and regional Edward R. Murrow awards for Best Investigative Reporting. Lauren previously co-anchored KOLR 10 Daybreak and earned an Emmy nomination for coverage of the deadly duck boat sinking on Table Rock Lake in 2018.
Lauren proudly calls Springfield home, graduating from Central High School before earning a degree in broadcast journalism from Mizzou. When she isn’t in front of the camera, Lauren enjoys exploring the Ozarks with her golden retriever puppy Fitz, Sunday football with her family (Go Chiefs!) and staying active.
