Wednesday, May 17 Midday Forecast

A few weak showers continue to move NE away from the Springfield area and it looks like that will be the end of our rain for the day. Highs today will jump back into the low 80's with partly cloudy skies and winds out of the south at 20-30 mph. Winds could gust over 40 mph at times.

Thursday looks like a much quieter day with highs warming into the middle 80's with more sunshine and lighter winds.

Two sounds of rain are set to move through the Ozarks over the early parts of the weekend. Friday looks more like an off and on rain with a slight chance for severe weather Friday night. At this point hail looks like the main hazard. The heaviest rain comes in late Friday into Saturday morning with scattered storms possible during the afternoon Saturday.
